Background:
Luis produces some really incredible coffees, which we have been able to taste over the years from many great roasters. This harvest we had the chance to taste a newer variety that Luis has cultivated there, called Papayo. This variety has a very different profile (exactly what we love) that is herbal, aromatic and tropical. Luis is a very innovative producer. He is constantly tasting his own coffees through close work with a quality cupping lab and he is constantly developing new processes.
Keep an eye for the Tabi and Pink Bourbon lots that Luis produces, they are always spectacular!
